Laurelmead Names Foy Ann Plohr Sales & Marketing Director

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (Nov. 12, 2019) — Laurelmead Cooperative, an independent-living retirement community on the East Side of Providence, has announced that Foy Ann Plohr has accepted the position of Sales & Marketing Director. For the past five years, Plohr was the Sales & Marketing Director for Benchmark Senior Living in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

In her capacity as Sales & Marketing Director, Plohr will be responsible for achieving occupancy goals, implementing marketing strategy, coordinating with the Sales Manager, direct selling to prospective buyers and coordination of marketing efforts,

Plohr has over 10 years of experience in education and sales. In her last position as Sales & Marketing Director for Benchmark Senior Living, Plohr was an integral part of the leadership team, designing and developing marketing campaigns that were implemented in all 58 Benchmark communities. Prior to that, Plohr served as Training Director for the State of Rhode Island. Additionally, her experience includes Director of Business Development for MedCerts, LearningGate and New Horizons.

With a Bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in Behavioral Science, Plohr also attained her Assisted Living Residence Administrator’s license.  Additionally, Plohr was recognized with a Top Sales Performance Award and President’s Club Award for three consecutive years (2016, 2017 and 2018). She was selected for the Emerging Leadership Program and has received her Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) designation.

Residing in Bristol, RI with her husband, Brad, they enjoy spending time with their children, Ryan and Marah, as well as their granddaughter. In her spare time, Plohr likes giving back to the community by participating in charitable activities, such as volunteering for Meals on Wheels and assisting with church donation drives.
