John Semas Joins Mattos & Associates as Director of Operations

Providence, RI (January 8, 2015) – Mattos & Associates, LLC has announced that John Semas has joined the staff as Director of Operations. With years of experience in the restoration and construction industry, Semas will assist the Mattos & Associates SERVPRO franchise offices improve their operational efficiency.

As Director of Operations, Semas will represent all three Mattos & Associates’ SERVPRO offices, which include Providence, Weymouth & Hingham, and Boston Downtown. He will work directly with management, and office and field staff. Semas will evaluate and review business procedures to ensure all three offices are streamlined, operating at optimum performance and that all training is performed regularly. He will initiate a unified mandated training schedule for all Mattos & Associates’ SERVPRO staff on a weekly and monthly basis as well as provide training and educational offerings to SERVPRO clients pertaining to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.

Prior to joining Mattos & Associates, Semas served as Branch Manager at Clean Care of New England in Cranston, RI. In that position, he was responsible for the daily operations concerning emergency and construction projects. In addition, he oversaw branch personnel, on-call staff, and purchasing; reviewed and finalized all estimates; and conducted monthly training programs.

In addition to his industry experience, Semas is a certified OSHA trainer able to provide 10 and 30-hour general industry safety and health outreach training programs. He is also certified in water remediation, fire and smoke remediation and mold remediation from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning, and Restoration Certification.

Semas currently resides in Norfolk, Massachusetts with his wife, Lindsay, and their daughter, Audrey.
