Homestar Mortgage Named 2014 FirstHomes Tax Credit Lender of the Year by Rhode Island Housing

PROVIDENCE, RI (April 16, 2015) – Homestar Mortgage was recently honored by Rhode Island Housing for their outstanding support of first-time homebuyers at the housing agency’s annual realtor breakfast. Over 300 real estate professionals gathered at the Crowne Plaza in Warwick on April 3rd, which marked the first time Rhode Island Housing honored a FirstHomes tax credit lender.

The FirstHomes Tax Credit program was launched by RI Housing in July of 2014, and Homestar provided tax credits to nearly all of the company’s eligible first-time home buying customers.  This exemplary record solidified Homestar Mortgage’s recognition as FirstHomes Tax Credit Lender of the Year.
