Newport County Chamber Gift Certificates Now Sold at Walgreens Pharmacy in Middletown

Over 300 Local Businesses Participate in the Chamber Gift Certificate Program

Middletown, RI (September 29, 2016) – The Newport County Chamber of Commerce announced that Walgreens Pharmacy is now selling Chamber’s gift certificates in its Middletown location at 12 East Main Road. The Chamber’s popular gift certificates are redeemable at over 300 local businesses across Newport County, and the program is generously sponsored by People’s Credit Union.

By distributing Chamber gift certificates, the Newport County Chamber continues to do business with and support local companies that also support the community. Since the certificates began circulation, the free program for members has led to sales of over $1.5 million. In 2015, the program saw a 24% increase in growth, and 2016 sales are currently performing at an additional 11% over 2015.

Along with Walgreens Middletown, Chamber gift certificates can also be purchased at the following locations: The Newport County Chamber of Commerce, Middletown; The General Store, 19 Long Wharf Mall, Newport; and Clements’ Marketplace, 2575 East Main Road, Portsmouth. They are also available online at www.NewportChamber.com.
