Fore Court Partners with Fatima Hospital to Offer Free Health Seminar

Complimentary Diabetes Education Program will discuss risk factors and prevention of diabetes

Cumberland, RI – April 11, 2013

Fore Court Racquet and Fitness Club is pleased to show its commitment to better health in the Northern Rhode Island community by partnering with Fatima Hospital for a free diabetes education seminar.  This program will be held Tuesday, April 23^rd, from 11:30am – 12:30pm at Fore Court.  Individuals living with diabetes and anyone interested in learning how to prevent diabetes are encouraged to attend.

“We are excited to be offering this free program in association with Fatima Hospital,” said Ken Schoenberg, personal trainer at Fore Court. “Diabetes has reached epidemic levels in our country and at Fore Court we are committed to educating our community to ensure that they understand how to best maintain a healthy, active lifestyle.”

The program will be presented by Fatima Hospital Nurse Manager Anne-Marie Firestone RN, CE, CDOE. This interactive presentation will: define diabetes; identify risk factors associated with diabetes; discuss key diabetes indicators; highlight what can be done to prevent diabetes (including the importance of maintaining a healthy blood pressure); and promote regular, consistent exercise.
