Karen Flynn Joins Homestar Mortgage as Senior Loan Officer

Providence, RI (January 30, 2017) – Homestar Mortgage has announced that Karen Flynn has joined the company as a Senior Mortgage Loan Officer. Karen has over 30 years in the financial services industry, including over 10 years of experience in residential mortgage lending.

“Karen brings a vast amount of knowledge and financial expertise to the position of Senior Mortgage Loan Officer,” said Steve Tetzner, Vice President of Homestar Mortgage. “Her experience speaks for itself, and she is also committed to offering a high level of customer service. I am confident our clients will directly benefit from her lending acumen.”

Karen has worked for some of the nation’s largest regional banks and financial institutions. In addition to her professional experience, Karen has been named a Five Star Mortgage Professional for the last six years (2011-2016), and is a member of Leadership Rhode Island, 2015 LAMBDA II Class.

Karen holds an MBA and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Finance from Bryant University. She graduated from Providence College with a Bachelors in Business Administration and is currently Vice President of the Providence College National Alumni Association Council. Additionally, Karen has been a member of the Junior League of Rhode Island since 1988 and has been a URI Master Gardener since 2006, logging over 750 hours of volunteer time. She resides in North Kingstown, RI with her husband and son.
