Lincoln Appraisal’s Demopulos Earns Prestigious Appraisal Institute Designation

PROVIDENCE, RI  (June 10, 2014) – George K. Demopulos, MRICS, RA, SRA, AI-RRS president and chief valuations officer of Lincoln Appraisal & Settlement Services, has earned the Appraisal Institute Residential Review Specialist designation (AI-RRS).

To earn the prestigious designation, Demopulos had to demonstrate good moral character; meet ethics and education requirements; pass a comprehensive examination; and show exemplary experience in conducting residential appraisal reviews.

AI-RRS appraisers have the experience and knowledge that give them the tools to address the issues unique to residential real estate property review appraisals. AI-RRS members adhere to the Appraisal Institute code of professional ethics and standards, underscoring their commitment to sound and ethical professional conduct.

In addition, AI-RRS appraisers are dedicated to staying informed of developments pertaining to review of residential real property appraisals, enabling them to provide service that reflects the latest in professional practices.

Demopulos is a founding partner of Lincoln Appraisal and has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of the appraisal profession. He is a certified residential appraiser in five New England states and has served as a supervisory appraiser for many trainees and oversees his company’s nationwide corporate appraisal networks, which manages more than 3,000 appraiser professionals.

In addition, Demopulos, who has a degree in economics from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., manages the firm’s corporate appraisal internal review team, which is comprised of its chief appraiser and more than 10 full-time appraisers.

Demopulos is also a residential appraiser designated member of the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Also, he is a member of the Rhode Island Association of Realtors and National Association of Realtors and the inaugural vice president of the National Association of Appraisal Management Companies. Demopulos has also been recently named to serve on The Appraisal Subcommittee Advisory Committee for Development of Regulations (ASCAC).
