Loiselle Insurance Agency Gives Back to Local Veterans

Pawtucket, RI (November 14, 2014) – To celebrate Veterans Day, Loiselle Insurance Agency participated in the Progressive Insurance “Keys to Progress” event held at the Progressive Service Center in Johnston, RI, on Tuesday, November 11th.

The event honored two local veterans, Jonathan Bermudez and Neldoriel Perez, who have both served in the U.S. Army. Partnering with the National Auto Body Council, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, 1-800-Charity Car and Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, Progressive presented Bermudez and Perez with two newly refurbished vehicles as an act of gratitude for their service.

Loiselle Insurance Agency was honored to be chosen by Progressive to provide the auto insurance for Bermudez and Perez’ new vehicles. Agency owners Bob Loiselle, Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon and Brenda Loiselle-DuClos, as well as the agency’s digital marketing coordinator, Erika Lague, attended the ceremony.

“We are extremely grateful for the service of all our veterans,” said Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon, Vice President of Loiselle Insurance Agency. “Having the opportunity to give back to local veterans such as Jonathon and Neldoriel, especially on Veterans Day, is an exceptional honor for Loiselle, and we are proud to be able to insure the safety of these brave soldiers as they have helped to ensure ours.”

At the ceremony, Bermudez was presented with a black 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, and Perez was given a dark gray 2012 Subaru Forester. In addition to the vehicles, Bermudez and Perez were also given six months of paid car insurance by Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Progressive held 57 similar events across the country, celebrating Veterans Day by donating 117 refurbished vehicles to veterans and their families. In Rhode Island, Operation Stand Down Rhode Island has also aided both Bermudez and Perez in finding stable and safe housing, as well as assisting them in finding secure jobs for which these vehicles can now provide them reliable transportation.
