Loiselle Insurance Agency Raises funds and holiday gifts for the Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps

Pawtucket, RI – December 19, 2013

In the spirit of the holiday season, Loiselle Insurance partnered with the Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps to successfully fulfill 30 holiday wishes this year for children in the Pawtucket community for the second year in a row.

“Because of my position, I know firsthand of the good work that [the Salvation Army] does in serving the most neediest of families in our area, especially during the holiday season,” said Melanie Loiselle-Mongeon, Vice President of Loiselle Insurance Agency, who currently serves on the Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps advisory board.

Every year, Loiselle Insurance Agency supports a local charity during the holiday season, and because last year was so successful with the Salvation Army Pawtucket Corps, they decided to partner with them again this year and repeat their efforts.

After obtaining gift tags from the Salvation Army that named a specific child and his or her desired gift, a program known as ‘angel-tag program’, the entire staff purchased gifts to fulfill those wishes. But the agency did not stop there; on Friday, December 13^th, the entire staff from Loiselle Insurance Agency rang the bell all day long for the Salvation Army outside of the Stop & Shop on Mendon Road in Cumberland, RI. Donning holiday attire, staff members sang and danced outside while ringing the bells, encouraging community members to donate. Their efforts did not go unnoticed, and The Salvation Army commended Loiselle Insurance Agency for doubling the average donation for a weekday at that location.

Donations from the Red Kettle Christmas Campaign provide Christmas dinners, clothing and toys to families in need during the holiday season.
