Platinum Fire Protection & Services Receives Hospitality Award

The Rhode Island Hospitality Association (RIHA) recently awarded Platinum Fire Protection & Services Vendor of the Year during their 23rd Annual Stars of the Industry meeting and awards dinner.

The award is given to vendors that are respected as outstanding members of the hospitality industry who have demonstrated high professionalism in their jobs and have contributed to the positive image of the hospitality and tourism industry in Rhode Island.

“We are pleased and honored to receive this award,” said Frank Mattos, owner and president of Platinum Fire. “This award reflects the hard work of all the employees at Platinum Fire and the great relationship we have with the hospitality and tourism industry in Rhode Island. The award was presented during the annual Stars of the Industry awards ceremony held at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence on November 28. The event recognizes the best employers or employees in the restaurants, hotels, tourist agencies, and other members or businesses connected with the hospitality community. The event, which drew more than 500 guests, was hosted by the Rhode Island Hospitality Association and the Rhode Island Hospitality Education Foundation.

Award winners were nominated by their bosses, co-workers, and customers. The winners are chosen by a public vote and members of the board for the Association. There are over 20 categories, with two to three nominations per category.
