Rhode Island Medical Imaging (RIMI) was pleased to donate $2,500 to support the Providence College (PC) Women’s Basketball Program’s fight to end breast cancer.  The donation covered the purchase of new pink uniforms, which will be worn during the February 26, 2013 “Think Pink” game against Marquette University at the Alumni Hall/Mullaney Gymnasium in Providence, R.I.

“We were happy to partner with the PC Women’s Basketball Program for a great cause,” said Dr. Scott Levine of RIMI, who was on-hand for the check presentation.  “The fight to end breast cancer is of the utmost importance to RIMI and we are committed to assisting organizations in our community that share our goal.”

Spectators can provide voluntary donations at the “Think Pink” game against Marquette.  Additionally, the pink uniforms worn by the players will be dry-cleaned and auctioned off, with all proceeds to support breast cancer awareness.

PC Women’s Basketball coach Susan Robinson Fruchtl accepted the donation on behalf of the organization: “I would like to thank RIMI for their generous contribution to our program.  The “Think Pink” game is always a fun and exciting event – no matter what team you’re rooting for, we should all unite in the fight to end breast cancer.”
