The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce Announces Upcoming Dates for State of the Town
Lincoln, Rhode Island (January 14, 2014) – The Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce recently announced their upcoming State of the Town events.
The first State of the Town event is to take place in North Smithfield on January 29th at 8:00 a.m. at Banneker Industries (located at 582 Great Road, Suite 101 in North Smithfield) and will feature Town Administrator Paulette Hamilton. Hamilton will highlight her administration’s accomplishments over the past year, as well as upcoming plans for the new year. Issues such as taxes, the municipal budget, and pension updates will be some of the topics discussed, and other matters will be addressed as it relates to the North Smithfield business community. There is no charge for Chamber members to attend this event, however registration is necessary.
A second State of the Town event will take place on January 31st at 8:00 a.m. in Cumberland at Hope Global (located at 50 Martin Street in Cumberland) and will feature Cumberland Mayor Daniel McKee. McKee will deliver a State of the Town address to members of the local business community, and will focus on the achievements of his administration in 2013. He will also touch upon other matters of interest as they relate to the public.
The Chamber also has a Lincoln State of the Town Address taking place on February 5th at 8:00 a.m. at the Northern Rhode Island Chamber of Commerce (located at 6 Blackstone Valley Place, Suite 402 in Lincoln). It will feature Lincoln Town Administrator T. Joseph Almond, who plans to speak upon his administration’s accomplishments over the past year and provide insight into what lies ahead in 2014. This event will also inform attendees on the financial well-being of the town, and issues of concern to the local business community will be discussed.
The Chamber is also in the process of scheduling other Northern Rhode Island community addresses.
