NEWPORT, RI (March 6, 2017) – The Newport County Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for their Excellence in Business awards from now through Friday, March 17th. Presented annually, this award honors outstanding business achievement in Newport County and any member in good standing is eligible.
Recognizing the accomplishments of Chamber members and the vital role they play in the economic well-being of our community, businesses can be nominated in one of the following categories: Micro Business, Small Business, Big Business, Woman or Minority-Owned Business, and Emerging Leader Business.
Nomination forms are available at NewportChamber.com. Completed nomination forms can be faxed to 401-849-5848 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. Nominees will be notified by Wednesday, March 22nd and provided with an application to complete at that time. A judging panel comprised of Chamber committee members will review the applications and select the winners.
The 2017 Excellence in Business winners will be announced at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting on Wednesday, April 26th, which will be held at the Oceancliff (65 Ridge Rd., Newport, RI). Business winners will also have a special feature in The Newport Daily News.
Last year’s winners included: Black Diamond Marketing Group, Micro Business Award; Corrigan Financial, Inc, Small Business Award; People’s Credit Union, Big Business Award; Newport Hospitality, Inc, Woman or Minority Owned Business Award; and Rhody Surf, Emerging Leader Award.
