Sponsored by Savings Institute Bank & Trust, this year’s Annual Meeting will feature a presentation from Scott Gibbs, President of the Economic Development Foundation of Rhode Island. “Our Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity to let the community know about all of the achievements of the Chamber over the course of this last year and to lay out our plans for future programs, events and priorities that will benefit the business climate in Newport County. This is also the perfect time to honor our recipients of Excellence in Business awards for their accomplishments and to hear about exciting economic development projects in our area such as the InnovateNewport at Sheffield School project.”

The 2017 Excellence in Business award winners will be also be announced at the Annual Meeting. Sponsored by Carey Richmond & Viking Insurance, the Excellence in Business awards recognize the accomplishments of Chamber members and the vital role they play in the economic well-being of our community. Businesses could be nominated in one of the following categories: Micro Business, Small Business, Big Business, Woman or Minority-Owned Business, and Emerging Leader Business. Award winners will also receive a special feature in The Newport Daily News.

This event would not be made possible without the support of our event sponsor Savings Institute Bank & Trust; Excellence in Business awards’ sponsor Carey, Richmond & Viking; as well as our media sponsors, 1540 WADK, MIXX 99.3, and The Newport Daily News.
