Euclid Financial and The Retirement Factory Radio Program to Host Funny 4 Funds Charity Event Benefitting Operation Stand Down

East Providence, RI (August 5, 2016) – Euclid Financial Services and The Retirement Factory radio show are enlisting the help of Funny 4 Funds for an evening of comedy on Sunday, August 21^st at the American Legion Hall (35 Fall River Avenue) in Seekonk, MA; doors open at 5:00pm. All proceeds will benefit Operation Stand Down RI, an organization dedicated to helping veterans secure stable housing and employment as well as other assistance according to individual needs including case management, basic human needs, referrals, and education and training services.

In hosting this charity event, Euclid Financial President, Josh Wells, is reaffirming his commitment to improving the lives of our nation’s veterans: “We work with veterans every day at Euclid Financial Services.  We have a tremendous amount of respect for what they have done for our country, and each year we organize an event to express our appreciation.  Last year, it was a car show, this year we have planned something special – bringing in the comedians from Funny 4 Funds to really make it an enjoyable evening of fundraising and fun.”

The Funny 4 Funds comedy night fundraisers offer a unique and entertaining way to raise money for worthy causes throughout our state.  Co-founders Bill Simas and Mike Murray are thrilled to partner with Euclid in support of Operation Stand Down:” We do these types of events throughout the year but it’s always an honor to know that our effort is going to a great cause like Operation Stand Down RI.  Veterans are true heroes and if we can help them out by providing a few laughs, we’ve done our job.” said Simas.

To add to the evening’s entertainment, The Retirement Factory radio show, hosted by Josh Wells, will be broadcasting a live podcast from 5-6pm before the comedians take the stage.  “The goal of our show is to offer insightful retirement advice to listeners, in a relaxed and straightforward fashion,” said Wells.  “What better way to educate and entertain listeners than with a live comedy show benefitting our veterans.”  Said Wells.

The Retirement Factory radio program airs on AM790 WPRV Saturdays at 9:00 am in Providence and 1510AMWMEX in Boston and Sundays in Providence on AM920 WHJJ at 11:00am.
